This document illustrates how to make impromptu changes to your schedule in the short term.  Options are to remove availability, add availability, or clear your schedule for the entire day.


Remove Single Availability


1.  Go to the Calendar Icon, Calendar Tab, and open a provider's schedule.



2.  Choose the date and time block that you would like removed, and double click on the spot to remove the availability.  For example, we will double click on the 10:00 - 10:15 spot.



Remove Multiple Availabilities or Clear Entire Day


1.  Click the Edit Availabilities button in the middle bottom as indicated.



2.  Do one or both of the following:

  • If you would like to remove all availability for Friday, March 30th as example, click on the small gear next to the date.  Click on it and then choose Clear Availabilities.
  • If you would like to cancel all appointments for Friday, March 30th as example, click on the small gear next to the date.  Click on it and then choose Cancel All Appointments.


  • If you cancel all appointments, a window will appear to allow you to write a cancellation message to registered affected patients.  Registered affected patients will automatically be delivered a cancel notification, with notification tracking enabled.  The system will also produce a list of names of unregistered patients for you to follow up with directly via a cancellation report that will be delivered to you Portal Mailbox.



Add Single Availability


1.  Click the Edit Availabilities button in the middle bottom as indicated.



2.  Click the Paint Availabilities button as indicated.


3.  A window to let you choose what availability rule to paint will appear.  Choose the appropriate options and click Okay.



4.  Do:

  • Depress your mouse button and drag down on the calendar to paint the new availabilities.
  • Click on the Save button to commit.
